What kind of tree is it?

The kapok can grow up to 70 meters tall and its trunk up to 3 meters wide. The tree is covered with large, robust thorns. It’s planted for reforestation purposes, to nourish animals, and to provide shade to areas in which plants of shorter stature are cultivated.
